Profiles

dot  Haytham Remawi

HaythamHaytham has Jordanian heritage but grew up in the U.A.E. along with 5 brothers and sisters. His family lived near an airport and one of Haytham's favourite activities was to watch aeroplanes take off and land. This had a great impact on his career choice.

After completing the National Diploma in Aerospace Engineering in Dubai, Haytham decided to continue his studies in Australia, becoming the first in his family to venture into the land down under. His growing interest in aircraft safety was nurtured by a lecturer at the University of Western Sydney who later became his supervisor for the Masters of Aviation (Human Factors and Safety).

HaythamHaytham graduated in 2004 and returned to the U.A.E to work at Ras Al Kaimah International Airport as Supervisor in the Apron Section (Ground Services) and Airport Safety Officer. Now he works at Sharjah International Airport as Head of Aerodrome Licensing and Safety Compliance.

Haytham is passionate about safety and is working towards a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Aviation, studying by distance education through Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.
